The Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet is a rare and sought after model. With a Porsche 3.0 16V engine producing 200 hp, a well balanced chassis and fold down roof this makes a great summertime sports car. This example was suffering from faded paintwork and some significant bodywork corrosion.
First we identify the extent of the damaged panel and then remove it, in this case we had to cut out the damaged section of the rear quarter.
We then replicate an exact copy of the damaged panel which is temporarily fixed in place to ensure the original shape of the vehicle is maintained.
The piece is then welded in place and the final stages of preparation are added before its ready to be resprayed and and the rear valance and bumper refitted.
The once damaged panel is then sprayed and polished and ready to go !
